Remote Area holiday transport is available to employees, who work in remote areas, subject to the following conditions being met;<\/h3>\n
    \n
  1. The employee must work in a remote area;<\/li>\n
  2. The transport is provided to enable the employee and family members to have a holiday of not less than 3 days;<\/li>\n
  3. Employees must use the transport during a period of recreational leave and return to work thereafter;<\/li>\n
  4. The transport is between the remote area (or near it), to another place;<\/li>\n
  5. Where a spouse or child do not live with the employee, the transport must be provided to allow the spouse of child to meet the employee;<\/li>\n
  6. The benefit must be provided under an industrial award or in accordance with industry custom;<\/li>\n
  7. A cash allowance may be paid to the spouse or child, which are subject to special rules.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Remote Area Travel to nearest Capital City<\/h3>\n

    Where the travel is provided to the employee and \/ or their family members and it;<\/p>\n

      \n
    • Is from the place of work;<\/li>\n
    • To the capital city in the State where the employee works;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      The expense payment is subject to a reduction of 50% in the taxable value, which is the cost of the flights. The taxable value can be reduced by a Recipients contribution to not incur Fringe Benefits Tax. The example below illustrates how the benefit can be applied;[\/vc_column_text]
